In 2008, Kevin Yazzie began composing a series of four albums that pay homage to the pillars of the Native American Church; Faith, Hope, Love and Charity. With each recording focusing on one of these themes, Charity represents the last installment in this milestone of Native American Church music. With layers of swirling vocal harmonies, Grammy-nominated Diné singer Yazzie honors this spirit of giving and appreciation and celebrates the gift of life - encouraging all to reflect upon the blessings that come with each new day.

On Charity, Yazzie's stirring compositions are richly layered with vocal harmonies that transport the listener to a place of inner strength. The title track, which brings the album to a close, is a paean to Mother Earth and to one's parents, the givers of life itself.
