Elk Soldier prays their songs will bring all Native people blessings in a spirit of respect for their ancestors and the drum. Featuring a guest performance by Anthony Wakeman on "Elk Medicine".

Lead by Gary Drapeau (Ihanktowan), Elk Soldier is a drum group to watch. “A Soldier’s Dream” was a powerful debut album for the group. With fierce singing and earth shaking drumming, Elk Soldier takes you on a journey to the heart of Pow-Wow country. Their contemporary northern-style songs are sure to leave a resounding effect on listeners throughout the four directions and beyond.
